Metso has introduced its Water Treatment Skids (WTS) as part of the Metso Plus offering, targeting efficient water treatment in industrial applications. Designed for mining, metallurgical, and chemical processing environments, WTS units utilize centrifugal separation and self-cleaning filtration to remove particles and solids from process water. Metso say that their compact, modular construction supports plug-and-play installation, allowing for quick integration into existing operations.
The skids are engineered to enhance water reuse within industrial facilities, conserving resources and improving overall process efficiency. Applications include treating thickener overflow and providing clean water for essential functions such as pump sealing, chemical dilution and filter washing. In addition to offering scalable, low-maintenance solutions, the skids deliver consistent water quality and operational reliability across various settings, the company states.
“The primary reason for developing Water Treatment Skids was to address the need for efficient water treatment solutions in industrial settings. WTS are primarily used to treat thickener overflow from solids and efficiently meet the clean water supply needs in thickening and dewatering areas, such as sealing water for pumps, chemical dilution and filter wash waters.” said Artem Makarov, Product Manager for Industrial Water Treatment Plants at Metso.
