Metso Unveils MX for Cones to Extend Wear Life in Crushers


Metso has introduced MX for cones, a new solution designed to extend wear parts life in secondary cone crushing applications. This innovation addresses the needs of mining and quarry operators using large cone crushers, such as those in the Nordberg® HP Series™ and MP Series™. MX for cones is designed to improve liner utilization, potentially doubling wear life compared to standard manganese liners.

With increased wear life, MX for cones reduces the frequency of change-outs, minimizing maintenance labor and enhancing safety by reducing personnel exposure. The product also supports sustainability efforts, with fewer liners required and the benefit of being fully recyclable.
