Komatsu has introduced the WA700-8 wheel loader, designed to enhance power and efficiency for quarry and aggregate operations. Built to align with 70-ton trucks like Komatsu's HD605-10, the WA700-8 offers increased lifting force and fuel efficiency over its predecessor. The loader delivers up to 8% more fuel efficiency, along with 15% higher torque, aiming to support demanding environments while controlling operating costs.
Komatsu highlights that the WA700-8 incorporates features that focus on safety, control, and operator ease. A variable traction control system limits tire slippage, helping extend tire life on difficult surfaces, while automation options streamline repetitive tasks. The loader’s KomVision camera system and Komtrax Plus monitoring provide operators with enhanced visibility and data-driven insights to aid performance and reduce downtime.
"The new WA700-8 can help quarry operations hit that sweet spot for 70-ton truck loading, making every pass count. With a heavier operating weight, greater static tipping load, and larger breakout force than the previous model, the WA700-8 is a productive and efficient wheel loader that is ideal for quarry operations." said Sebastian Witkowski, Product Manager.
