Komatsu Completes GHH Group GmbH Acquisition

Komatsu has finalized its acquisition of GHH Group GmbH (GHH), a leader in underground mining and tunnelling equipment based in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. GHH's expertise in loaders (LHDs) and articulated dump trucks will expand Komatsu's offerings in underground mining, supported by a full range of aftermarket parts and services.

Komatsu is broadening its global underground mining capacity with the inclusion of GHH’s factories and facilities in key markets like Europe, Southern Africa, India, and Chile. This strategic expansion is focused on enhancing production and service capabilities.

“The talented GHH staff are now part of Komatsu and our new combined team will work together to expand offerings and increase customer access to products in new territories. We are excited to start collaborating to add value to our customers’ operations.” said Peter Salditt, President of Komatsu’s Mining Business Division.
