Immersive Technologies has secured contracts in the second and third quarters of 2024 to deliver workforce training solutions for major underground mining projects across the U.S., Canada, Chile, and Indonesia. The contracts involve comprehensive training tools, including machine simulators, virtual reality, 3D virtual machines, and tailored training program development, aimed at enhancing operator skills and reducing performance variance.
The training solutions are designed to improve operator skills and reduce performance variability, aiming to support productivity within mining operations. The company add that new developments focus on Conversion Kit® simulators for various underground machines, including the Sandvik DD422i Jumbo Drill, Epiroc Simba M4 C Production Drill, and Komatsu 12HM27 Continuous Miner, among others.
