Flender has expanded its Flender One gearbox platform to cover over one hundred new industrial applications, including bucket elevators, belt conveyors, and hoisting systems. The platform offers a streamlined configuration process, requiring just three parameters, and allows for customization to meet specific customer needs. The new gear units are designed to enhance efficiency, reduce operating expenses, and provide flexibility through a range of add-on parts and customizable output shafts.
The Flender One gearboxes feature integrated AIQ Core sensors for digital monitoring and analytics, aimed at increasing plant availability and reducing unplanned downtime. According to the company, these smart features could reduce service costs by up to 40 percent and service-related downtime by up to 50 percent. Additionally, the gearboxes use Metaperform® gearing to reduce power dissipation and increase thermal capacity, potentially leading to quicker cost recovery and faster project timelines.
"Flender One stands for being more individual, efficient, and smarter. With an easy-to-understand configuration process, automated manufacturing, and comprehensive 3-D data and documentation in the cloud, it saves our customers valuable time. In operation, Flender One excels with improved power dissipation and AIQ optimization, making it the most efficient Flender gearbox solution we have ever introduced." said Rouven Daniel, President Industrial Gear Units at Flender.
